This guide will help you get started and create your first reminder. We will walk through two common scenarios step by step.

🎂 Scenario 1: Birthday
Learn how to create a reminder for a friend's or family member's birthday so you never miss it again.

Step 1 – Choose a category

Step 2 – Enter a title
Enter a clear title, for example Mom’s Birthday or John’s 30th Birthday.

Step 3 – Set the due date
Select the birthday in the date field. This date is used as the main date for the reminder.

Step 4 – Choose reminder times
The default for this scenario is 7 days before and 1 day before. You can adjust if you like.

Step 5 – Save the reminder
Your details will be carried over to the create page, already filled in. Review and save.

🛡️ Scenario 2: Insurance
Learn how to manage a car insurance or other insurance with cost tracking and renewal reminders.

Enter a clear name for the insurance, e.g. Home Insurance or Car Insurance Volvo.

Enter the name of your insurance company, e.g. If, Folksam or LΓ€nsfΓΆrsΓ€kringar.

Step 4 – Enter renewal date
Select the date when the insurance renews. This date is used as the basis for reminders.

Step 5 – Enter cost (optional)
Enter what you pay for the insurance. The cost will appear in your budget overview.

Step 7 – Choose reminder times
The default for insurance is 30 days before and 7 days before. You can adjust if you like.

Step 8 – Continue to create reminder
Your details will be carried over to the create page, already filled in. Review and save.

Expenses

When you add a cost to a reminder (e.g. insurance), it automatically appears in the budget overview. There you can see total monthly and yearly costs, broken down by category.

Go to Expenses in the menu to see a summary of all costs.

Set a monthly budget in the budget settings to get a warning if you exceed it.

Switch between Normalized view (spread annual cost across months) and Actual view (show the cost in the month it falls due).
